Now on an EPIC journey

I’m at this moment attending and exhibiting at the EPIC conference in Copenhagen. It’s set in amazing surroundings at the Uni of Copenhagen and im surrounded by ethnographers, social anthropologists, designers of all strands. The conference theme is (in)visibility. I’m showing The Delphi Party service of the fictitious FATE institute in context of unveiling possible futures of a loved one within a facilitated workshop of friends and family.

The future of the FATE INSTITUTE

The FATE institute (3) currently resides in the Tower Hamlets Unregulated Zone, a self-sufficient, self-run initiative run by the TOWER HAMLETS residents negotiated via the UK government.

A FATE representative will be attending a meeting at the Lancaster University to discuss with various experts from the “Lancaster university expert assessors of the Tower Hamlets Unregulated Zone” what might be the next steps for the FATE institute in the context of its own successful future and its implications on the residents of the Tower Hamlets. Having spent the last few years generating a massive database of future forecasting methodologies and hiring an array of practitioners to visit, research and expand the holistic body of future self-knowledge of the institute. It will be a new meeting to discuss where might the FATE institute go next?How will it expand its NURTURE NATURE NEITHER research and therapy groups? What will be the future of genetic determinism now with the ever forward thinking J Craig Venter institute begins to create new organisms using  synthetic bio blocks. How will evolution and belief systems evolve as more and more atheists take control of their ever increasing non-belief powers? Will the FATE intititue become a place for safe living to exist? How will FATE become an environment for those Tower Hamlets residents who wish to practice new future forecasting non-beliefs ? Will new genes be coded at the NATURE group in such a way as to be able to control the future of themselves?A FATE museum could house the vast taxonomies of past and present future forecasting services and products that have been applied over the past few years.

More thoughts and questions will be generated over the next few days and the future of the FATE institute hangs in the balance!……..

The Killer In Me: Predictive gene testing arrives on ITV

Tonight on ITV predictive gene testing will enter the mainstream on a programme called The Killer In Me. A number of celebrities will go through the process of having their dna sequenced and tested against their susceptibility to a variety of diseases that can currently be analysed against each persons genotype.

Gene Testing is introduced by using a variety of foods and food utensils that act as alternative DNA swabs to determine the likelihood of developing certain diseases or behavioural disorders. A ceremonial process ensures the experience of extracting the individuals genetic material is in line with the severity of the diagnostic information it reveals.

This futurology technique draws on the area of corporate forecasting where a roomful of experts are brought together in a workshop format to determine the future likelihood of a certain technology being adopted and with what applications.In place of industry experts Friends and Family members of a patient of the FATE institute are drawn together under the guidance of an experienced consultant and facilitator to discuss the probability of certain life events taking place.

THE FUTURES ASSOCIATION FOR THERAPY AND ENTERTAINMENT: MANIFESTO

BACKGROUND
The FATE Institute was established by private endowment in 2020 to bring together worldwide experts in the study, research and development, therapy and treatment of future self knowledge.

Expertise is based on a holistic approach to the evaluation of predictive gene testing and the effects of nature, nurture and other unrelated effects (christened ‘neither’) on the behaviour, development and lifestyle of individual human beings.

The second decade of the Third Millennium has seen a massive rise in the accessibility and application of predictive gene testing. The deterministic interpretation of results adopted by many practitioners has not always taken account of the probabilities associated with their conclusions. This has led to adverse decisions by Government and other authorities concerning the future of individuals affected. Those concerned have suffered negative financial, medical treatment and employment prospects.

This has caused a backlash among ordinary citizens. They have objected to the resulting marginalisation of, and discrimination against certain individual dispositions highlighted and penalised by such testing.

Civil Rights movements throughout the world, and in particular LIBERTY in the UK and GeneWatchUK have encouraged academics, scientists, medical practitioners and others to find alternative ways of improving future self knowledge

OPERATION

FATE is a quasi-scientific Institute combining scientific thinking and techniques with subjective and anecdotal evidence in the quest for improved techniques in developing future self knowledge.

Specialists from a variety of fields in Institutions such as the Universities of Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, MIT, Tokyo, have been attracted to form three distinct research and development groups with therapy units attached.

1. The Nature Group focuses on self knowledge understanding arising from genetic factors, including predictive gene testing.

2. The Nurture Group focuses on self knowledge improvement through environmental, upbringing and lifestyle factors

3. The Neither Group draws on research from other non related groups including the lifecaching movement generated via Web 2.0. An individual’s trend history can be recorded, archived and then analysed in order to extrapolate and have a direct affect on the individual’s future trends by self fulfilling/perpetuating prophecy making.

Each Group has developed a range of research and treatment techniques which are proven to help understand future self knowledge issues. All can be applied in isolation or in conjunction with other therapies from within the same group or in conjunction with those from other Groups.

The FATE Institute emphasises the synergies of cross fertilisation of expertise both within Groups and between Groups in the treatment of patients.

CLIENT/PATIENT THERAPY

Many of the consultants now employed at FATE have developed therapies in conjunction with volunteers form different parts of the world in their pursuit of a viable body of knowledge. The Institute is now opening its doors to new patients who may have been recommended by their GP or Specialist Doctor or by a Government Department who feel that improved self knowledge would have a beneficial effect on the individual for example persistent offenders.

Certain consultants within the FATE Institute have been identified with specific skills. These enable them to interview potential patients with a view to determining whether they are suitable for treatment by FATE and if so with what combination of treatments from Nature, Nurture and Neither Groups.

RELEVANT TREATMENTS

A range of techniques have been developed and accredited as suitable for patient treatment for each Group. A specific example is described below for each of Nature, Nurture and Neither Groups.

1. NURTURE: THE DELPHI PARTY

2. NATURE: THE GENE CEREMONY

Gene Testing is introduced by using a variety of foods and food utensils that act as alternative DNA swabs to determine the likelihood of developing certain diseases or behavioural disorders.
A strong focused ceremonial process is used is to ensure the experience of extracting the individuals genetic material is in line with the severity of diagnostic information it reveals.

3. NEITHER: THE MICROTREND DIARY

An evaluation over time of what affects the patient on a day by day, month by month basis, as a predictor of future trends in the individual’s behaviour. A mirror that reflects their past and current trends in order to affect their future actions: a self-fulfilling prophecy tool. A trend vitae.

Each day, week and month contains a set of questions entered into a normal type diary to be answered on a tick box basis. The results of these questions are uploaded by OCR techniques into the Institute’s computer at monthly visits by the patient. The results are analysed by the Doctor and fed back to the patient by consultation, comparing week by week and month by month by time series analysis, identifying historical trends and pointers for the future. Provocative questions are included to encourage serious thinking about thoughts and behaviours by the patient. Inducing self fulfilling prophecy subconscious reactions.

why does my institute exist? FAQs

Why in the future does the F.A.T.E institute exist? It is a place for research and developoment for alternative experiences in persoanl future forecasting. FATE rethinks futures, explodes myths contradicting what we all assume is determined by science’s belief in genetic determinism, alternative viewpoint on personal future forecsating service and undermines predictive gene testing.

Why will future forecasting be important to all of us in the future?

Why will we be interested in predictive gene testing?- if science begins to convince us that this is the only way to really know our future health and therefore lifestyle , because it is your own genetic material and therefore yourlife is predetermine, will it become popular belief and therefore increase stigmatism. Further than what already exists now where police are creating criminal probablity databases and with the increase in pharmacogenetics and nutragenomics, we are become more and more reliant on what scientists interpretate to us about our probabbility of getting certain diseases and therfore affecting lifestyle. The NHS already reduces the type of surgery that is accessible according to your weight, and whether you smoke etc. What happens when our future health can be determined by a very reduced procedure of predictive gene testing.

Why should people be personally interested in knowing their future?

Who are the customers and how and why would they go to this institute? – refferal, second opinion, it is counter to the NHS approach, part of the civil rights act and non discrimination act originally passed in 2007 had updated to include alternative forecasting to wwha talready exists in 2021.

Why does this institute exist in the future and not now?

What is the context for this institute?
Backlash against the increase in the popular belief that our individual future is only determined by our genetic make up. When actually the information that is interpreted about our predispositoin to certain future diseseae and lifestlye is still only a propbabilty and is not the only determining factor on what really is our future and what really affects it.

set within a tight govermenatl controlled society where our future is pre planned and determined. in battle with other power structures like the police, the future nhs public health sector and commercial forecasters.

It could be for those that do not meet the gnetic requirements for certain job descriptions, insurance margins, lifestly credits. A place to get support for a second opinion, lifecoaching and counselling . The F.A.T.E. is affiliated with Liberty and is a reserach and development futures institute

Research based institute where clients arrive and take part in differetn methodologes and focus groups to help them find out their personal futures. Not for profit ngo that offers alternative way to find out about yourself and your future. Part of Liberty’s attempt at promoting human rights and a backlash to the other futures service on offer that are linked directly to police and healthcare. Realigning the power structure of society. making personal futures work more accesible to the wider population.
